Israel, Bible Prophecy, and the Signs of Our Times

Have you been watching the news coming out of Israel lately? If so, you might be wondering: Are we witnessing the fulfillment of Bible prophecy?
Today, Israel remains at the center of tremendous uncertainty. Despite a ceasefire established in October 2025, violence continues in Gaza. Tensions involving Hezbollah, Lebanon, and Iran remain serious, while efforts to establish lasting peace face enormous challenges. Los Angeles Times
But here's where things get interesting.
In Matthew 24:6–7, Jesus warned that people would hear of wars, rumors of wars, and nations rising against nations. He also reminded His followers not to be troubled.
Doesn't that sound familiar?
Then consider Ezekiel 38–39, where the prophet describes a future conflict involving Israel and surrounding nations. Many Bible prophecy teachers see potential connections between this passage and modern Middle Eastern tensions.
However, Christians interpret these prophecies differently, and we should be careful not to declare every headline a fulfillment of Scripture.
Here's what I believe we must remember:
God has not lost control.
The same Jesus who spoke of troubled times also promised His followers hope.
In Psalm 122:6, Scripture tells us:
“Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee.” (KJV)
Today, let's pray for Israel, for the Palestinian people, and for every innocent family suffering from violence.
We may not know God's exact prophetic timetable, but we know where our hope belongs.
Keep your eyes on Jesus, your heart in His Word, and your faith stronger than your fear.
Until next time, remember:
