OUR STORY
Our Journey Became Our Purpose
Hope for the Journey did not begin with a business plan. It began during a season when we were learning firsthand how much a little hope, a kind word, and the reminder that someone cares can mean.
Whispers of the Heart began as a place to share gentle messages of faith, hope, and encouragement—small whispers meant to meet people right where they are. What started quietly soon became a growing community of people who needed those reminders just as much as we did.
The Friend You Know grew from Tedd’s desire to offer honest, practical encouragement shaped by his own health journey and life experiences. It carries the heart of a trusted friend—the kind who understands that life can be difficult, stays beside you, and reminds you that you do not have to face it alone.
Before long, we realized these two dreams were part of one greater purpose. Hope for the Journey was created to bring them together and make room for even more ways to encourage others.
Today, we are a small, family-run business in South Carolina with a focus on faith-based products, meaningful gifts, devotionals, stationery, and everyday items created to bring a little joy and encouragement. Many of our products are made by our own hands and shipped with care from our family to yours.
We do not know every step ahead, but we know why we are taking them: to share encouragement for today, hope for tomorrow, and the reminder that you were never meant to walk alone.
